I don’t know about you, but I love chocolate. And chocolate milk. Or milk chocolate. Coco Pops. Twix. Anything chocolate. So, when you combine chocolate and crossovers, that’s a winning combination right there (for me, at least).

That said, here’s the ‘chocolate milk’ version of Honda’s creative CRAVE ad campaign for the 2009 Honda CR-V.

One of the more interesting Crossover Vehicle marketing campaigns was the Crave campaign for the Honda CR-V. The campaign focused on equating the vehicle to cravings (cupcakes, for example) and leading off by highlighting CR-V in the word ‘CRAVE’.

Now, don’t go eating your CR-V. You have to admit, the CRAVE campaign sure is scrumptious.

There have been sightings of an all-new crossover that is being developed for the North American market, and this CUV could be released sometime in late 2009, or as early as the third quarter. This bit of news could mean that the Honda Accord Tourer might not be released in the US after all, contrary to previous indications.

An Accord-based CUV looks good.

Honda is reportedly developing an all-new crossover based on the Accord platform, and it’s something more than that whole Accord Wagon thing introduced late last year. Who knows, it could be a Tourer intended for US dealers.

The Accord-based CUV is said to have a body similar to the Euro-only Accord Tourer. The crossover will likely feature either a 2.4-liter or a 3.5-liter VTEC with six-speed transmission. Honda is probably going to stack the new crossover against the widely-popular Toyota Venza. Its ride height and wide track leads sources to believe it’s not just a remade Accord Wagon (which wasn’t so bad).

Production is slated for the third quarter of 2009, and prototypes are already being sighted. The Accord platform is very noteworthy, and it would be interesting to see how this Accord crossover is developed.
